Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Provider Training

To comply with California regulatory requirements, CA Medicaid providers are required to complete the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) training provided by DHCS. The purpose of the training is to promote a more uniform and shared understanding of the benefit throughout the State. The training program refers to EPSDT as Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens.

All CA Medicaid contracted-providers must attest that they have completed the Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens (EPSDT) Provider Training for themselves and their staff. Failure to complete the required training may result in the provider being removed from the system as an active provider until training requirements are met. New Providers are required to complete the training within 10 business days of becoming active with Centene Vision Services.

If you have any questions, email EBOCompliancematters@centene.com. We look forward to our continued relationship in providing quality eye care services to our members.
